PROJECT MANAGEMENT
InfoTechSVP provides Project Management practices across the initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing phases of the project management lifecycle to achieve specific goals and meet specific success criteria at the specified time. InfoTechSVP applies commercial and government processes and best practices to ensure the success of individual projects and multiple projects to meet both the individual and portfolios goals of the customer's organization. InfoTechSVP can support our customers from the initial stages of project initiation or preform assessments or take on project management responsibilities at any point in a project’s lifecycle.
CONTRACT STRATEGY AND ADMINISTRATION
InfoTechSVP provides Contracts Management capabilities to commercial and government customers to ensure the instruments adopted and implemented meet the customer's needs and goals for costs, services/capabilities/products and schedule. The actives supported include defining the objectives of the procurement, defining the contract strategy, performing market research, defining the contract type, preparing the materials to support the procurement package and release of the solicitation for single vendor negotiation or competitive procurement, contract award support, contract management and administration, individual deliverable review through contract closeout
DEFENSE ACQUISITION LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT
InfoTechSVP has a detailed understand of the U.S. Department of Defense Acquisition Lifecycle defined by DoDD 5000.01, DoDI 5000.02 including supporting DoD policies and Service/Agency specific instructions and practices. This experience includes Acquisition Category (ACAT) I Major Defense Acquisition Programs (MDAP) and Major Automated Information Systems (MAIS) with DoD and Component oversight, to ACAT II Major System with Component oversight, to ACAT III and Navy/Marine Corps ACAT IV and Abbreviated Acquisition Programs (AAP) delegated to Systems Commands and Program Executive Offices. This understanding of the Defense Acquisition Framework from Initial Capabilities Definition through Operations & Support and Disposal and all the phase and Milestone Decision points in between. This enables InfoTechSVP to ensure compliance as programs progress to their next major decision point and the ability to identify and implement effective and feasible tailored strategies fitting the unique nature of each acquisition program.
INTEGRATED MASTER PLAN & SCHEDULE
InfoTechSVP develops and implements Integrated Master Plans (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) as supporting project management tools to assist in the management and measurement of large and complex projects. Defining major project segments and developing detailed work packages allows the project to be broken down for easier management. Then tying the packages to a time phased schedule allows the tracking of progress performed by single or multiple work teams and enables the ability to track progress to schedule goals, measure progress with Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies and effectively assess project schedule risk. This activity is a critical component of the Monitoring & Control function performed during the Project Planning and Project Execution phases of the Project Management process.
QUALITY ASSURANCE AND CONTROL
InfoTechSVP develops and monitors Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control quality management processes to ensure products and services delivered meet or exceed the requirements and customer’s expectations. This includes developing and participating in strategies for inspection upon delivery, such as a Contract Required Data Line (CDRL) Item review and comment in support of customer inspection (Fit for purpose), and to build-in quality to reduce waste, variation and increase the potential of a defect free, acceptable or in-tolerance result upon delivery (right first time). InfoTechSVP supports the development of the initial quality standards and requirements to set quality/service levels defined in a contract or agreement, the Quality Assurance/Control Surveillance Plans, and performs review and inspection of delivered goods and services to ensure the customer’s requirements are met and maintained.
RISK MANAGEMENT
InfoTechSVP is adept in developing, implementing and executing risk management processes and tools as part of the project management capability. This includes the development of Risk Management Plans, identification and adoption of risk management matrices or databases, and the establishment and facilitation of risk management boards to review and classify risks’ probability (Likelihood), impact (Consequence), trigger events, and burndown plans. InfoTechSVP prepares, proposes and implements risk mitigation and contingency actions to avoid, minimize, manage and control the probability and consequence of risks to maximize the potential of projects meeting cost, performance and schedule objectives. This activity ties into the Monitoring & Control function performed during the Project Planning and Project Execution phases of the Project Management process.
WORK BREAK DOWN STRUCTURES
InfoTechSVP develops and implements work-breakdown structures (WBS) as a tool in the project management and systems engineering disciplines to decompose and organize the work to be performed and items to be delivered into clearly traceable packages and manageable segments. This practice integrates with the IMP/IMS, aids the project management and engineering actives, aids in cost estimation and contract management functions.
